Mind if we tell you our story first?
Rubber Chicken Cards was born 20 years ago. Our dream was to make greetings special again. So we started creating funny scripts, crafting animations, and doing voiceover acts (voiceover work is my background). Starting was easy, I was running on pure passion.
But we soon realized that to make this work more occasions need to be covered: birthdays, divorces, holidays, congratulations, etc. Things quickly went out of control.
And yes, it’s been a labor of love but we do it because the world needs a creative space where people can share.
We’re not a large company that’s raised money from billionaire investors. No. We’re 100% bootstrapped which means the [birthday] card you’re about to send was conceived in my brain, right here in the US
Can you guess how many hours it takes to create each card? Reveal Answer Between the writing, animating, and voice acting, each card takes more than 15 hours to create.
The world needs a place where independent artists can express creativity freely, especially in the current environment where everything is so serious.
Thank you for checking out a few of our animations today.
Did you know...
The average adult in the US sends 19 greeting cards each year. Using our 2 year plan as an example (see below). That means you'd spend just $0.79 per card. Compare that to the $5 or $10 non-animated cards you find in the store! with Rubber Chicken Cards, you're not limited to just 19 cards - you can send as many as you want to aas many people as you want.
